11 | 1840 Census, Warren County, Tennessee, page 354, sheet number 4. 1840 Census, Warren County, Tennessee page 354, sheet number 4. Audley Harrison, William Grove, Cunningham families and more. Line 1 shows Audley Harrison's family with 1 male 50 - 60 (Audley was 50), 1 female 30 - 40 (Elizabeth Grove was 36), 1 male under 5 (Alexander was 2), 1 female 15 - 20 (Virginia was 15) 2 females 10 - 15 (Nancy was 13, Millie was 10) 1 female 5 - 10 (Hannah L. was 8) and 1 female under 5 (Julia was 1). The Slave Schedule shows they had 2 males who were 10 - 24, 1 female 36 - 55, 1 female under the age of 10 and the family was engaged in Agriculture. Line 9 shows William Grove, but I have been unable to connect him to the family. He would be just a little older than Elizabeth Grove, Audley's wife. I researched other family trees and found the same name for a William Grove's father as people have stated Elizabeth's was John and John was showing to be from Botetourt County, Virginia. There was no mention of a William Grove in the Wiseman Book. Thomas S Harrison Sr married in Botetourt and Audley Harrison Sr married his first wife in Botetourt before he married Elizabeth Grove, but I was still unable to connect the William Grove on this Census. Line 19 Aaron Higgenbotham's family. I did not do much research on this, however more needs to be done. Aaron's wife's maiden name was Christian and there are Christian families on this Census page as well as the same pages as the Harrison and Hennessee families in the 1830 and 1830 Census. Aaron had one daughter that married Archibald M Hennessee (see the Wiseman book page 486) and another daughter who married a McGreggor. The family also married into the Farrar family. The Higgenbotham's are also from Virginia and have been with the Harrison family since the late 1700s. Last line William J McGreggor (McGregor) I have not added this whole family into the website but it is important that I do at some point. The McGregors are very important to our family as they married several Hennessees, Harrison, Hayes, Wiseman and many other of our relations.
12 | 1840 Census, Warren County, Tennessee, Page 83. 1840 Census, Warren County, Tennesse, Page 83. Line 16 Joseph Harrison's family with 1 male 30 - 40, 1 male 5 - 10, one female 30 - 40 and 2 females under 5 years old. Line 22 George Harrison living with his wife Millie and another male who is 15 - 20. Probably a brother of George or Millie. Line 25 John Grove living with his wife Saphronia who is Audley Harrison's daughter. At the bottom is Samuel Harrison's wife, Agnis, who is widowed with 7 children living with her. The two oldest children are 20-30 and the two youngest are under 5 years old. It is possible that the two oldest could be Nancy or her oldest son, one of their spouses and their small children. I did not include the page 2 slave schedule because no one listed above had slaves on this page. |

20 | 1870 Census, Alexander Hennessee, Detail 1870 Census, Warren County, Tennessee. For many years, Alexander Hennessee, has been listed as Archibald Hugh Hennessee's son. This researcher believes this was a mistake because Philander was read wrong on a Census as Alexander. This researcher believes Alexander was Archibald's brother's son, William Thomas. William Thomas, his wife Nellie and some of their children all died in the same month leaving 7 young children who when to live with relatives. Alexander was one of those children and this Census shows him living with his Mother's Wiseman family.
