56 | Audley M Harrison Jr Audly M Harrison Jr was the father of Obediah, Sarah Sally, George W, Henry, Josie and Cora. This is a tin photograph of Audley M Harrison Jr, not a tintype photo which was used later. These actual tin photos were usually taken by traveling photographers, about the size of a business card "calling cards" and very popular during and right after the Civil War. It was taken sometime after the Civil War between 1964 and 1875 and found in the home of Juanita Clower Kirby Wells. Juanita still lives on the farm which has been in the family since the early 1900s. Audley's son, Obediah had passed away in 1900 and his wife Laura and her children went to Oklahoma where her son Alph Harrison married Nellie Laurence who's family owned this farm. Laura passed away in their home on this farm and it is believed that this photograph was in her possessions.

59 | Audley M Harrison Sr Tombstone Audley M Harrison Sr Tombstone. This Tombstone is a replacement tombstone provided by Audley M Harrison Jr's descendants in the late 1900's. You can see the base of the original tombstone in the photo. The original tombstone did not have the information about his second marriage to Elizabeth or mention of his son Audley. It is confusing why they would put Audley Jr's name on the tombstone and not mention his other 14 children. I will try to get a photograph of the entire original tombstone. 81 | Families of Cabarrus County, North Carolina RESEARCH DOCUMENT USED IN TRYING TO LOCATE WILLIAM M HAYES SR'S FATHER. Families of Cabarrus County, North Carolina 1792-1815, page 69. This page has highlighted in blue "North Carolina" and several references to "Hays" and "Patrick Hays". It mentions Patrick Hayes moving to Warren County, Tennessee before 1808 and other references to areas of my research. The HAYES are connected to our family and a Hayes married Archibald Hugh Hennessee and is buried a Pecan Cemetery in Oklahoma with our family. I will have to do further research on this. I found a deed from about this time where the part filled out by the court or writer spelled the name Patrick HAYS, however it is signed by William and Frances HAYES. This must have been a comon mistake back then.

92 | Hennessee - A Book of Family Recipes - Compiled by Claudia Hennessee Eschler Dedicated to our mother who gave us the love of God's good produce and the delight of picking fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden to prepare the family meal. Mother's garden was a practical means of feeding her family on a tight budget but more than that, it was her gift of love for us that nourished and fed our spirits as well. Preparation of a meal was one of those joyous memories that binds our family together. Mother was the Queen of her kitchen and we were her little helpers, even to the end. - Coletta Hennessee Allison - Claudia Hennessee Eschler - Patrick Hennessee
