This researcher believes this was a mistake because Philander was read wrong on a Census as Alexander. This researcher believes Alexander was Archibald's brother's son, William Thomas. William Thomas, his wife Nellie and some of their children all died in the same month leaving 7 young children who when to live with relatives. Alexander was one of those children and this Census shows him living with his Mother's Wiseman family.
