Documents | Families of Cabarrus County, North Carolina RESEARCH DOCUMENT USED IN TRYING TO LOCATE WILLIAM M HAYES SR'S FATHER. Families of Cabarrus County, North Carolina 1792-1815, page 69. This page has highlighted in blue "North Carolina" and several references to "Hays" and "Patrick Hays". It mentions Patrick Hayes moving to Warren County, Tennessee before 1808 and other references to areas of my research. The HAYES are connected to our family and a Hayes married Archibald Hugh Hennessee and is buried a Pecan Cemetery in Oklahoma with our family. I will have to do further research on this. I found a deed from about this time where the part filled out by the court or writer spelled the name Patrick HAYS, however it is signed by William and Frances HAYES. This must have been a comon mistake back then.
Mecklenburg County, North Carolina Deed Book, page 68 RESEARCH DOCUMENT USED IN TRYING TO LOCATE WILLIAM M HAYES SR'S FATHER. This is a deed between Patrick and William HAYS but is signed by William and Frances HAYES. This must have been a comon mistake back then.
