William Ezekial "Zeke" Laurence from Warren County, Tennessee and Mary Jane "Jennie" Grove from Texas County, Missouri married in Montague County, Texas and came to the family farm in Lawrence Township in the early 1900s. Their daughter Nellie Laurence married Alph Harrison who came from Texas County, Missouri and who's father Audley was also from Warren County, Tennessee and they settled on the family farm. This family farm, as well as the photographs and documents in this album, have stayed in the family since the early 1900s. Thank you to Alph and Nellie's granddaughter, Juanita Clower Kirby Wells, for letting me spend a few days on the farm with her scanning and talking about the rich history of the Laurence, Grove, Harrison and Hennessee families from Warren County, Tennessee who lived on and near there. -Sandra Harrison
