205 | Laura Viola (Harrison) Rodgers Family Record: A tape of The Harrison Quartet with, Bill, Leon, Archie and Buster Harrison was played at Frances' funeral. Viola noted that this would have been the last funeral Archie sang at, although it was on tape. The tape of the quartette was originally recorded in 1970 at Wayne and Viola Rodgers home by Wayne on a reel to reel. In 1994 I had the tapes transfered to cassette and recently had the original cassette transfered to compact disc. What a wonderful thing technology can be. This family music sounds like the day it was recorded almost 40 years ago. Little did Viola know, at the time she made her notes, The Harrison Quartet tape would be played at funerals for years to come. By 2006 the tape had been played for 23 years after Buster's death and 11 years after Archie's. I hope to keep the recordings updated to be heard by generations of great, great, grandchildren. 80 friends and family members were present at Frances' Funeral Dinner at Wayne & Viola Rodgers home at 1407 J., Lawton, Oklahoma Harold & Vonnie Green James, Maxcene & Orville Barham Wayne & Viola Rodgers Lynda Cunningham Christopher Cunningham Gary & Alicia Rodgers Bill & Wilma Harrison Leon Harrison Bill & Ethel Rodgers Adell Spencer Peggy O'Kelly Sam & Vanzell Rodgers & their daughter Tina Archie & Mary Harrison Marie E. 250 | Note: Some internet sources list James' middle name as David. This researcher has been unable to confirm this middle name. Years later the question is, where did I get the middle name Robert? Hennessee Family History by D. A. Hennessee references: Revised Edition: "Burke: The History of a North Carolina County, 1777-1920", by Edward William Phifer, Jr., cites James as "James David". After checking this book in my personal library the only reference I found of this was on page 228 where it states "Blacksmiths in Morganton Township were James David Hennessee (1832-1900)" This could not be our James Hennessee as he died in 1851. | Hennessee, James (I691)
